The Land Reclamation International Graduate School invites applications from interested undergraduate students enrolled in a land reclamation or environment focused program, or graduate students (thesis and course based) and post doctoral fellows conducting land reclamation or related environmental research in any faculty at the University of Alberta or external post secondary institution. Individuals at any stage in their studies can apply. Please contact lrigs@ualberta.ca to discuss opportunities and eligibility.
To apply, email a letter of interest and current resume to lrigs@ualberta.ca. Your application should highlight your interest, education and/or experience related to land reclamation and your future career aspirations. Applications are accepted at any time of the year.
Applicants will be considered if they meet the following requirements.
- Undergraduate student, graduate student or post doctoral fellow enrolled at the University of Alberta or other post secondary institution.
- Enrolled or working in a land reclamation or environmental program. If the program is not land reclamation based, applicants must demonstrate an interest in increasing their land reclamation knowledge.
For those interested in pursuing graduate studies or post doctoral fellow programs at the University of Alberta, a select list of faculty conducting research in land reclamation and related fields is provided on the LRIGS website. Some current graduate student positions are listed on individual faculty websites and post doctoral fellow positions on the Postdoctoral Fellows Office website. Contacting faculty members who share your research interests is recommended.
