Applicants can join LRIGS as certificate members or general members.
Certificate members will receive a certificate of membership signed by the LRIGS Director, which demonstrates their commitment to and interest in land reclamation and the environment to their future supervisors and employers. Certificate members must attend at least 75 % of activities, participate in the mentorship program and be a member for at least one year. The longer participants are members, the higher seniority they will have in attaining first preference for activities and waiting lists.
General members have no minimum requirement for attendance at activities. They have the option of participating in the mentorship program. There is no minimum time commitment required.
When funding is available, such as for conferences or training, certificate members will be eligible and general members will not; certificate members with longer standing will have higher priority.
